Review of Zen Habits: Handbook for Life
Zen Habits: Handbook for life is the second ebook released by Leo Babauta. In this rockin’ ebook, Leo has collected his best articles on:
- Simplicity
- Productivity
- Happiness
The articles read like blog posts, but are presented in such a way that it builds on the previous article. I find its easier to read in ebook format than on a website.
Why I bought it:
My life is a mess. I’m recovering from a nervous breakdown and have slowly been trying to fix everything. I had tried using the free articles, but had difficulty picking out the useful information from the many archived posts.
Reading the tips has given me the foundations to explore other resources on personal development and productivity. I also felt proud that I could support Leo and the Zen Habits community.
Is it worth paying for the ebook?
Like with some other ebooks, this is not the only method of getting the information. You can read the articles for free on Zen Habits. His content is uncopyrighted, so you may be able to find it for free elsewhere. This information is not exclusive. However, there are two reasons it is worth paying for the ebook.
- You are supporting a community. Zen Habits has helped me a lot. It has inspired its readers to live the best life possible. I believe it is worth paying to support such a positive environment.
- Its convenient. I spent about an hour hunting around for a free copy, and then trying to find all the articles. For $7, it was so much easier to just buy it. I can refer to it when my internet is down, and can easily transfer it to other devices.
My final thoughts?
Whether or not you pay for it, Zen Habits: Handbook For Life is a valuable resource and one that should be shared.
